Enterprise banking

Enterprise Banking consists of two segments: Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and Medium Enterprises (MID) segments.

In 2024 we focused on the automation and digitization of the credit process and the development of electronic banking functionalities enabling customer self-service.

Strategy - The „Customer” pillar

We put the customer and his needs at the center of our activities. intensively develop digital channels and fast and convenient service processes. To an even greater extent, we will use advanced data analytics and modern CRM tools to support sales, which will allow us to better adjust the offer improve the quality of service and increase the tendency to recommend our services.

Lending activities and customer financing

In 2024, the value of new loans sold (excluding renewals) in the SME segment reached PLN 6.6 billion, maintaining the high level from previous quarters and 2023. In the MID segment, the value of new loans sold amounted to PLN 13.3 billion.

In 2024, the most important activities in the credit offer in the area of ​​corporate banking include:

  • signing an agreement with BGK and launching three portfolio guarantee programs: Biznesmax plus, Ekomax and BGK Investmax. These programs are linked to BGK guarantees for corporate loans and include, among others: green financing, innovation and digital transformation sectors, and also include a component of interest and capital subsidies for companies,
  • introduction of preferential loans from the Agricultural Restructuring and Modernisation Agency (ARiMR) for investments in agriculture and inland fisheries to the offer,
  • signing an agreement with KUKE for a new guarantee programme enabling financing of investments in green transformation,
  • providing clients with the possibility of applying for a pre-settlement limit, via an online platform, which allows entrepreneurs to conclude transactions hedging against the risk resulting from exchange rate fluctuations with a period of up to six months without the need to block funds, up to a total amount of commitment of PLN 300 thousand,
  • providing clients with a platform dedicated to EU funds „Fundusze z Żubrem”, which aims to support Polish entrepreneurs in obtaining European funds for the development of their business. On the portal, we have also placed a comprehensive guide to funds prepared by the Bank „Compendium of knowledge about European funds”, which contains detailed information on financing programmes, application rules and key challenges that entrepreneurs may face,

Customer acquisition

In 2024, we maintained a high level of new customer acquisition: in the SME segment, we acquired over 3 thousand customers, and in the MID segment, approximately 900 new customers.

We have provided our clients with a new process for applying and purchasing closed cash services, we have introduced improvements in the process of managing corporate cards, including online presentation of card statuses, online management of card limits, automation of the card blocking process. We have introduced further improvements in the general disposition, opening sub-accounts and in the „enterprise declaration” application.

We have enabled the most active clients to use the collective sending, cancellation and signing of many applications at the same time. We have introduced a new version of applications for treasury products, as well as a new certificate of maintaining an account.

In 2024, 84% of clients from the SME, MID and Corporate segments used the self-service zone in digital channels.

In 2024, in the PekaoBiznes24 system, we have made available to customers:

  • the ability to automatically download electronic confirmations of balances at the end of the year in the JPK format,
  • information on a block due to the seizure of an account at the request of an enforcement body,
  • presentation of the status of a foreign transfer in the SWIFT GPI format,
  • the ability to make currency transfers extended with an online accounting function on days off.

In the second half of 2024, we conducted a series of meetings with clients in the form of webinars devoted to education in the area of ​​cybersecurity.

The number of corporate clients using the direct integration of their financial and accounting systems with the Bank via the PekaoConnect service has increased significantly.

We have completed the migration of corporate clients to the new PeoBiz mobile application, which is currently used by approximately 20 thousand corporate clients of the Bank. We have introduced a number of changes in the new application to facilitate the use of the application. We have provided clients with, among others: a new presentation of the summary of account balances and detailed information about the balances on individual accounts, a change of the application mode setting to „light-dark”, a change of the application language (Polish-English) and we have expanded the scope of functionality of transfers to the phone.

ESG

In the Corporate Banking Division, we have established an ESG support team that supports clients in the process of implementing the principles of sustainable development, energy transformation, and provides advice and consultation on the Bank's product offering.

In addition, we have made available on the Bank's website a free ESG Knowledge Compendium - a practical guide that explains key definitions and regulations in the field of ESG, presents the principles of implementing the ESG strategy, includes monitoring and reporting principles, financing methods and information on the scope of the Bank's support that can be obtained in connection with the ESG transformation.

In addition, we offer the Bank's corporate clients preferential terms of using the carbon footprint calculator. The solution will help adapt to new reporting obligations and business requirements in the ESG area.
